अत्यंत प्रभावशाली शिव स्तोत्र है, जिसके नित्य पाठ से भगवान शिव की भक्ति और उनकी कृपा प्राप्त होती है। इस तांडव स्तोत्र की रचना लंकापति रावण के द्वारा की गयी थी। रावण परम विद्वान और महान शिवभक्त था। उसने भगवान शिव को अपनी कठोर तपस्या से प्रसन्न करके बहुत सारे वरदान प्राप्त किये थे।
एक बार रावण अपनी शक्ति के मद में चूर होकर और भगवान के समक्ष अपनी भक्ति के प्रदर्शन के उद्देश्य से कैलाश पर्वत को अपनी भुजाओं में उठा लिया। अन्तर्यामी भगवान शिव रावण के मनोभाव को समझकर उसके अहंकार के नाश के लिए कैलाश पर्वत का भार बढ़ाने लगे जिसे रावण सहन नहीं कर सका।
तब उसे अपनी गलती का आभाष हुआ पर उसने धैर्य का परिचय देते हुए क्षणमात्र में ही शिव तांडव स्तोत्र ( Shiv Tandav Stotram ) रचकर भगवान शिव को गाकर सुनाया। जिसे सुनकर भगवान शिव बहुत प्रसन्न हुए और रावण को मनोवांछित वर प्रदान किया।
अर्थ – जिन्होंने जटारुपी अटवी ( वन ) से निकलती हुई गंगा जी के गिरते हुए प्रवाहों से पवित्र किये गए गले में सर्पों की लटकती हुई विशाल माला को धारण कर डमरू के डम डम शब्दों से मण्डित प्रचंड तांडव नृत्य किया, वे शिवजी हमारे कल्याण का विस्तार करें।
अर्थ – जिनका मस्तक जटारुपी कड़ाह में वेग से घूमती हुई गंगा की चंचल तरंगों से सुशोभित हो रहा है, ललाट की अग्नि धक् धक् जल रही है, सिर पर चन्द्रमा विराजमान हैं, उन भगवान शिव में मेरा निरंतर अनुराग हो।
अर्थ – गिरिराज किशोरी पार्वती के शिरोभूषण से समस्त दिशाओं को प्रकाशित होते देख जिनका मन आनंदित हो रहा है।जिनकी निरंतर कृपादृष्टि से कठिन से कठिन आपत्ति का भी निवारण हो जाता है, ऐसे किसी दिगंबर तत्व में मेरा मन आनंद प्राप्त करे।
अर्थ – जिनकी जटाओं में रहने वाले सर्पों के फणों की मणियों का फैलता हुआ प्रभापुंज दिशा रुपी स्त्रियों के मुख पर कुंकुम का लेप कर रहा है।मतवाले हाथी के हिलते हुए चमड़े का वस्त्र धारण करने से स्निग्ध वर्ण हुए उन भूतनाथ में मेरा चित्त अद्भुत आनंद करे।
अर्थ – जिनकी चरण पादुकाएं इन्द्र आदि देवताओं के प्रणाम करने से उनके मस्तक पर विराजमान फूलों के कुसुम से धूसरित हो रही हैं। नागराज के हार से बंधी हुई जटा वाले वे भगवान चंद्रशेखर मुझे चिरस्थाई संपत्ति देनेवाले हों।
अर्थ – जिन्होंने ललाट वेदी पर प्रज्वलित हुई अग्नि के तेज से कामदेव को नष्ट कर डाला था, जिनको इन्द्र नमस्कार किया करते हैं। सुधाकर ( चन्द्रमा ) की कला से सुशोभित मुकुट वाला वह उन्नत विशाल ललाट वाला जटिल मस्तक हमें संपत्ति प्रदान करने वाला हो।
अर्थ – जिन्होंने अपने विकराल ललाट पर धक् धक् जलती हुई प्रचंड अग्नि में कामदेव को भस्म कर दिया था। गिरिराज किशोरी के स्तनों पर पत्रभंग रचना करने के एकमात्र कारीगर उन भगवान त्रिलोचन में मेरा मन लगा रहे।
अर्थ – जिनके कंठ में नवीन मेघमाला से घिरी हुई अमावस्या की आधी रात के समय फैलते हुए अंधकार के समान कालिमा अंकित है।
जो गजचर्म लपेटे हुए हैं, वे संसार भार को धारण करने वाले चन्द्रमा के समान मनोहर कांतिवाले भगवान गंगाधर मेरी संपत्ति का विस्तार करें।
अर्थ – जिनका कंठ खिले हुए नील कमल समूह की श्याम प्रभा का अनुकरण करने वाली है तथा जो कामदेव, त्रिपुर, भव ( संसार ), दक्षयज्ञ, हाथी, अन्धकासुर और यमराज का भी संहार करने वाले हैं, उन्हें मैं भजता हूँ।
अर्थ – जो अभिमान रहित पार्वती जी के कलारूप कदम्ब मंजरी के मकरंद स्रोत की बढ़ती हुई माधुरी के पान करने वाले भँवरे हैं तथा कामदेव, त्रिपुर, भव, दक्षयज्ञ, हाथी, अन्धकासुर और यमराज का भी अंत करनेवाले हैं, उन्हें मैं भजता हूँ।
अर्थ – जिनके मस्तक पर बड़े वेग के साथ घूमते हुए साँपों के फुफकारने से ललाट की भयंकर अग्नि क्रमशः धधकती हुई फैल रही है। धीमे धीमे बजते हुए मृदंग के गंभीर मंगल स्वर के साथ जिनका प्रचंड तांडव हो रहा है , उन भगवान शंकर की जय हो।
अर्थ – पत्थर और सुन्दर बिछौनों में, सांप और मोतियों की माला में, बहुमूल्य रत्न और मिटटी के ढेले में, मित्र या शत्रु पक्ष में, तिनका या कमल के समान आँखों वाली युवती में, प्रजा और पृथ्वी के राजाओं में समान भाव रखता हुआ मैं कब सदाशिव को भजूँगा ?
अर्थ – सुन्दर ललाट वाले भगवान चन्द्रशेखर में मन को एकाग्र करके अपने कुविचारों को त्यागकर गंगा जी के तटवर्ती वन के भीतर रहता हुआ सिर पर हाथ जोड़ डबडबाई हुई विह्वल आँखों से शिव मंत्र का उच्चारण करता हुआ मैं कब सुखी होऊंगा ?
अर्थ – जो मनुष्य इस उत्तमोत्तम स्तोत्र का नित्य पाठ, स्मरण और वर्णन करता है, वह सदा शुद्ध रहता है और शीघ्र ही भगवान शंकर की भक्ति प्राप्त कर लेता है। वह विरुद्ध गति को प्राप्त नहीं करता क्योंकि शिव जी का ध्यान चिंतन मोह का नाश करने वाला है।
अर्थ – सायंकाल में पूजा समाप्त होने पर जो रावण के गाये हुए इस शिव तांडव स्तोत्र ( Shiv Tandav Stotram ) का पाठ करता है, भगवान शंकर उस मनुष्य को रथ, हाथी, घोड़ों से युक्त सदा स्थिर रहने वाली संपत्ति प्रदान करते हैं।
भाद्रपद मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया तिथि को हरितालिका तीज का व्रत किया जाता है। इस बार ये व्रत 18 सितम्बर, सोमवार को है। विधि-विधान से हरितालिका तीज का व्रत करने से कुंवारी कन्याओं को मनचाहे वर की प्राप्ति होती है, वहीं विवाहित महिलाओं को अखंड सौभाग्य मिलता है। इस व्रत की विधि इस प्रकार है-

वैष्णव:
वहीं वैष्णव संप्रदाय के लोग मानते,सभी देवी देवताओं को हैं परंतु केवल भगवान विष्णु और उनके अवतारों पर आधारित उपवास या पर्व रखते हैं ।
कहने का अर्थ यह है कि जिन संन्यासियों ने भगवान विष्णु के नाम की दीक्षा ली हुई है और वह घर-गृहस्थी से अलग है वे सभी वैष्णव कहलाते हैं।
अब यदि किसी को पंचांग भी देखना ना आए तो इसमें आप और हम क्या कर सकते हैं ऐसा हम आपको नहीं कह रहे हैं उनके लिए कह रहे हैं जिन्हें वैष्णव और स्मार्त में अंतर नहीं पता!
वैष्णव और स्मार्त क्या है इतनी बात यदि गूगल पर भी पूछी जाए तब भी पता चल जाएगी।
चूंकि स्मार्त(गृहस्थ) सप्तमी से युक्त अष्टमी को गृहण करके अष्टमी का व्रत कर सकते हैं और अष्टमी 6 तारीख को दिन में लगभग 3:30 बजे से आ रही है और रात्रि में रोहिणी नक्षत्र से युक्त अष्टमी भी प्राप्त हो रही है अतः स्मार्त (आप और हम) 6 तारीख को करेंगे।
परंतु वहीं दूसरी ओर वैष्णव (संन्यासी) सप्तमी से युक्त अष्टमी को ग्रहण नहीं करते हैं जो कि 6 तारीख को पड़ रही है उनके लिए सूर्योदय में अष्टमी होना आवश्यक है इसीलिए वह 7 तारीख को करेंगे।
इस वर्ष श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी का व्रत कब है इसको लेकर लोगों के मन मे बहुत ही अनिश्चितताएँ है , तो हम आपकी सभी अनिश्चितताएँ का हल हिन्दू धर्म ग्रंथों का उल्लेख करते हुए करते है जिससे की आपके मन मे तनिक भी संदेह ना रहे और आप भगवान श्री कृष्ण की जन्माष्टमी को ससंशय मना सके और पुण्य के भागीदार बन सके |
इस वर्ष को जन्माष्टमी 06 सितम्बर 2023 को है , इस दिन बुधवार होने से बुधवार युक्त जयंती पड़ेगी अर्थात भाद्रपद कृष्ण अष्टमी + बुधवार + रोहिणी का योग है और शास्त्रों के हिसाब से इस दिन व्रत रखने से इसका फल करोड़ों व्रत के समान है|
जयंती बुधवारे च रोहिण्या सहिता यदा। भवेच्च मुनिशार्दूल किं कृतैर्व्रतकोटिभिः।।
श्री कृष्ण के जन्म को लेकर हिन्दू धर्म शास्त्रों मे जो विवरण दिया हुआ है उसको बताते है और आपका इस विषय को लेकर संदेह दूर करते है ,
विष्णुपुराण तथा ब्रह्मपुराण के अनुसार श्री कृष्ण का जन्म समय
श्रीभगवान योगनिद्रा से कहते हैं कि वर्षाऋतु में भाद्रपद कृष्ण अष्टमी को रात्रि के समय मैं जन्म लुंगा और तू नवमी को उत्पन्न होगी।
ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण के अनुसार
भाद्रपद मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि जब रात्रि के सात मुहूर्त निकल गए और आठवाँ आया तब आधी रात के समय सर्वोत्कृष्ट शुभ लग्न आया। उस लग्न पर सिर्फ शुभ ग्रहों की दृष्टि थी। अष्टमी तिथि तथा रोहिणी नक्षत्र के संयोग से जयंती नामक योग बन रहा था। आकाश में उपस्थित सूर्य आदि सब ग्रह अपनी गति के क्रम को लाँघकर मीन लग्न में जा पहुंचे। विधाता की आज्ञा से एक मुहूर्त के लिए प्रसन्नतापूर्वक वे सभी ग्रह ग्यारहवें स्थान में जाकर सानंद स्थित हो गए। (अर्थात श्री कृष्ण का जन्म वृष लग्न में हुआ)
जिस समय सिंह राशि पर सूर्य और वृष राशि पर चन्द्रमा था, उस भाद्रपद मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि को अर्धरात्रि में रोहिणी नक्षत्र में मेरा जन्म हुआ |
भाद्रपद मास के कृष्णपक्ष की रोहिणी नक्षत्र से युक्त अष्टमी तिथिको ही अर्धरात्रि के समय भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण का प्राकट्य हुआ था, इसलिये इसी अष्टमी को उनकी जयंती मनायी जाती है |
भाद्रपद मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्मी तिथि, रोहिणी नक्षत्र, वृष लग्न में अर्द्धरात्रि की वेला में भगवती ने देवकी के गर्भ से परम पुरुष के रूप में जन्म लिया— ततः समभवद्देवी देवक्याः परमः पुमान् ।
अगर आप श्रीकृष्ण जन्म अर्द्धरात्रि में मनाते हैं तो 06 सितम्बर 2023, बुधवार को निशीथकालीन (23:56 से 00:42) अष्टमी में (जिस प्रकार शिवरात्रि में रहते हैं) जन्माष्टमी व्रत रहें और अगर आप दिन में श्रीकृष्ण जन्मोत्सव मनाते हैं तो 07 सितम्बर 2023, गुरुवार को जन्मोत्सव मनायें
इस दिन क्या करना है :
सुबह स्नान आदि से निवृत होकर “ॐ क्लीं कृष्णाय गोविन्दाय गोपीजनवल्लभाय स्वाहा” इस मंत्र का 108 बार जप करें। याद रहे पूरे दिन रात कुछ नहीं खाना है। पारण तिथि और नक्षत्र के अंत में होगा। अगर संभव नहीं तो फल ले लें।
रात्रि के बारह बजे गर्भ से जन्म लेने के प्रतिस्वरूप खीरा काटकर भगवान का जन्म कराएं।
बाल गोपाल कृष्ण को पंचामृत से स्नान करा कर, केसर मिश्रित कच्चा दूध, गंगाजल, गुलाब जल को अलग अलग दक्षिणावर्ती शंख में भरकर स्नान कराएं । स्नान कराते समय “योगेश्वराय योगसम्भवाय योगपतये गोविन्दाय नमो नम:” का जप करें।
‘यज्ञेश्वराय यज्ञसम्भवाय यज्ञपतये गोविन्दाय नमो नम:’ – इस मंत्र से अर्घ्य, धूप, दीप आदि अर्पण करे | श्रंगार करते समय नवीन वस्त्र पहनायें । पुष्प माला अर्पित करें। मोरपंख मस्तक पर लगायें । चन्दन लगायें। चन्द्रमा को भी अर्घ्य दें। अर्घ्य का विशेष मंत्र आगे दिया है।
गोपाल जी का तुलसी से सहस्त्रार्चन करें।
मखाने की खीर का भोग लगाएं। खीर में तुलसी जरूर होनी चाहिए।
माखन मिश्री का भोग लगाएं। धनिये की पंजीरी का भोग लगाएं।

विभिन्न कृष्ण स्तोत्रों, मन्त्रों का पाठ करें।
नाचें गायें तथा श्री कृष्ण की आरती करें। घी के अनेक दीपक जलायें। श्रीकृष्ण-जन्माष्टमी की रात्रि को मोहरात्रि कहा गया है। इस रात में योगेश्वर श्रीकृष्ण का ध्यान, नाम अथवा मंत्र जपते हुए जागरण करना चाहिए।
जागरण करना जयन्ती व्रत और जमाष्टमी व्रत का एक अभिन्न अंग है। इस दिन जागरण जरूर करना चाहिये। जागरण करते हुए पुराण का पाठ करना चाहिए। भगवान् के जागरण में जो पुराण को पढ़ता है उसके जन्मपर्यन्त के पाप इस प्रकार जल जाते हैं जैसे रूई का समूह जल जाता है। जो मनुष्य भगवान् के व्रत के दिन भक्ति से पुराण सुनता है तो उसके करोड़ जन्म के पाप तिसी क्षण से नाश हो जाते हैं। किसी भी पुराण का पाठ कर सकते हैं। श्रीमद्भागवत पुराणतो विशेष है ही।
श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी की रात्रि को श्रीकृष्ण और चन्द्र को अर्घ्य पदेने का महाफल मिलता है।
चन्द्रस्य अर्घ्यमन्त्रौ –
क्षीरोदार्णवसंभूत अत्रिगोत्रसमुद्भव ।
गृहाणार्घ्यं शशाङ्केश रोहिणीसहितो मम ॥
रोहिणीसहितचन्द्रमसे इदमर्घ्यं समर्पयामि ।
ज्योत्स्नापते नमस्तुभ्यं ज्योतिषां पतये नमः।
नमस्ते रोहिणीकान्त अर्घ्यं नः प्रतिगृह्यताम्॥
रोहिणीसहितचन्द्रमसे इदमर्घ्यं समर्पयामि ।
श्रीकृष्णस्य अर्घ्यमन्त्रः –
जातः कंसवधार्थाय भूभारोत्तारणाय च ।
कौरवाणां विनाशाय दैत्यानां निधनाय च ॥
पाण्डवानां हितार्थाय धर्मसंस्थापनाय च ।
गृहाणार्घ्यं मया दत्तं देवक्या सहितो हरे ॥
देवकीसहितश्रीकृष्णाय इदमर्घ्यं समर्पयामि ।
इति शङ्खेनार्घ्यं दद्यात् ।
ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण, कालनिर्णय में आया है कि – ‘जब तक अष्टमी चलती रहे या उस पर रोहिणी नक्षत्र रहे तब तक पारण नहीं करना चाहिए; जो ऐसा नहीं करता, अर्थात जो ऐसी स्थिति में पारण कर लेता है वह अपने किये कराये पर ही पानी फेर लेता है और उपवास से प्राप्त फल को नष्ट कर लेता है। अत: तिथि तथा नक्षत्र के अन्त में ही पारण करना चाहिए।
प्रत्येक मनुष्य को कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी का व्रत/उपवास जरूर रहना चाहिए। ऐसा न करने पर बहुत दोष लगता है।
ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण के अनुसार
भारतवर्ष में रहने वाला जो प्राणी श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी का व्रत करता है, वह सौ जन्मों के पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है। इसमें संशय नहीं है। वह दीर्घकाल तक वैकुण्ठलोक में आनन्द भोगता है। फिर उत्तम योनि में जन्म लेने पर उसे भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के प्रति भक्ति उत्पन्न हो जाती है-यह निश्चित है।
अग्निपुराण के अनुसार
इस तिथिको उपवास करनेसे मनुष्य सात जन्मों के किये हुए पापों से मुक्त हो जाता हैं | अतएव भाद्रपद के कृष्णपक्ष की रोहिणी नक्षत्रयुक्त अष्टमी को उपवास रखकर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का पूजन करना चाहिये | यह भोग और मोक्ष प्रदान करनेवाला हैं।
भविष्यपुराण के अनुसार श्रावण मास में कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी व्रत जो मनुष्य नहीं करता, वह क्रूर राक्षस होता है।
स्कन्दपुराण के अनुसार जो व्यक्ति कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी व्रत नहीं करता, वह जंगल में सर्प और व्याघ्र होता है।
किसी विशेष कारणवश अगर कोई जन्माष्टमी व्रत रखने में समर्थ नहीं तो किसी एक ब्राह्मण को भरपेट भोजन हाथ से खिलाएं। अगर वह भी संभव नहीं तो ब्राह्मण को इतनी दक्षिणा दें की वो 2 समय भरपेट भोजन कर सके। अगर वह भी संभव नहीं तो गायत्री मंत्र का 1000 बार जप करे।
अग्निपुराण के अनुसार पूजन की विधि इस प्रकार है –
आवाहन-मन्त्र और नमस्कार
आवाहयाम्यहं कृष्णं बलभद्रं च देवकीम | वसुदेवं यशोदां गा: पूजयामि नमोऽस्तु ते ||
‘मैं श्रीकृष्ण, बलभद्र, देवकी, वसुदेव, य्शोदादेवी और गौओं का आवाहन एवं पूजन करता हूँ; आप सबको नमस्कार है | योगके आदिकारण, उत्पत्तिस्थान श्रीगोविंद के लिये बारंबार नमस्कार है’ ||
तदनंतर भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण को स्नान कराये और इस मंत्रसे उन्हें अर्घ्यदान करे –
‘देव ! आपके प्रिय ये सुगन्धयुक्त पुष्प ग्रहण कीजिये | देवताओंद्वारा पूजित भगवन ! मेरी सारी कामनाएँ सिद्ध कीजिये | आप धूप से सदा धूपित हैं, मेरे द्वारा अर्पित धूप-दान से आप धूप की सुगन्ध ग्रहण कीजिये | श्रीहरे ! मुझे सदा सुगन्धित पुष्पों, धूप एवं गंधसे सम्पन्न कीजिये |’
‘प्रभो ! आप सर्वदा समान देदीप्यमान एवं दीप को दीप्ति प्रदान करनेवाले हैं | मेरे द्वारा दिया गया यह महादीप ग्रहण कीजिये और मुझे भी (दीप के समान) ऊर्ध्वगति से युक्त कीजिये | विश्वरूप, विश्वपति, विश्वेश्वर, श्रीकृष्ण के लिये नमस्कार है, नमस्कार है | विश्वके आदिकारण श्रीगोविन्द को मैं यह दीप निवेदन करता हूँ | ‘
‘धर्मस्वरूप, धर्म के अधिपति, धर्मेश्वर एवं धर्म के आदिस्थान श्रीवासुदेव को नमस्कार है | गोविन्द ! अब शाप शयन कीजिये | सर्वरूप, सबके अधिपति, सर्वेश्वर, सबके आदिकारण श्रीगोविंद को बारंबार नमस्कार हैं |’
तदनन्तर रोहिणीसहित चन्द्रमाको निम्नालिखित मन्त्र पढ़कर अर्घ्यदान दे –
‘क्षीरसमुद्र से प्रकट एवं अत्रि के नेत्र से उद्भूत तेज:स्वरुप शशांक ! रोहिणी के साथ मेरा अर्घ्य स्वीकार कीजिये |’
फिर भगवद्विग्रह को वेदिकापर स्थापित करे और चंद्रमासहित रोहिणी का पूजन करे | तदनंतर अर्धरात्रि के समय वसुदेव, देवकी, नन्द-यशोदा और बलराम का गुड़ और घृतमिश्रित दुग्ध- धारासे अभिषेक करे ||
तत्पश्च्यात व्रत करनेवाला मनुष्य ब्राह्मणों को भोजन करावे और दक्षिणा में उन्हें वस्त्र और सुवर्ण आदि दे | जन्माष्टमी का व्रत करनेवाला पुत्रयुक्त होकर विष्णुलोक का भागी होता है | जो मनुष्य पुत्रप्राप्ति की इच्छासे प्रतिवर्ष इस व्रत का अनुष्ठान करता है, वह ‘पुम’ नामक नरक के भय से मुक्त हो जाता है | (सकाम व्रत करनेवाला भगवान् गोविन्द से प्रार्थना करे ) ‘प्रभो ! मुझे धन, पुत्र, आयु, आरोग्य और संतति दीजिये | गोविन्द ! मुझे धर्म, काम, सौभाग्य, स्वर्ग और मोक्ष प्रदान कीजिये’ ||
